DomStufen-Festspiele in Erfurt 2023
Opera by Hector Berlioz
Premiering: July 7, 2023
Further performances: July 8, to July 30, 2023
With a grandiose orchestra and magnificent choral scenes, Hector Berlioz was able to create visions of the infernal and ethereal sounds. As freely as he dealt with the plot structure of Goethe's poetry, he felt committed to the spirit of the work: man's search for meaning between lust for life, calling and morality.
Enjoy the DomStufen-Festspiele in a cozy lounge atmosphere and experience Giuseppe Verdi's opera Nabucco from a completely different perspective. After the Erfurt Philharmonic Orchestra was transmitted from the theater to the Domplatz via fiber optic cable last year, there is another innovation this year. Some of the performances can also be experienced in the Big House for the first time. Here you can follow the Erfurt Philharmonic Orchestra live on stage and the scenery from Domplatz on a large screen. The DOMKINO performances will take place during the DomStufen-Festspiele from July 22, 2022 on Fridays to Sundays at 8:30 p.m.
In a wonderfully varied opera production, Niclas Ramdohr and Holger Potocki do credit to the velvet-pawed cat. The opera is full of fun throughout, so that the audience, both children and adults, is captivated by its magic from the first bar.
