DOMINO – DomStufen-Festspiele for Children 2013

He will now be making Erfurt's Cathedral Square unsafe: Till Eulenspiegel, the medieval rogue who fooled people all over the country with his pranks. In many of his pranks, he deliberately took every word literally, thereby holding up a mirror to his fellow human beings and, through laughter or malicious joy, also highlighting the injustices of his time.

In the new, turbulent musical by Peter Blaikner and Konstantin Wecker, he plays tricks on the Duchess of Zeckenburg, who expelled him from the country, a priest who wanted him fired, the Minister of Health, who prefers to save money at the expense of others, and a landlady whom he ruthlessly cheats out of the bill. But the worst hit is Gustav Höllriegl, the police commissioner of Wanzenreich, who wants to put him behind bars – no matter what the cost. He's fallen in love with Nele, of all people, and to make matters worse, she's already promised to the miser Willibald Schräufele. Even though he's leading everyone on, Till has his heart in the right place and just wants us to laugh with and at him, because laughter is the best medicine.
