Winning Together!

Whether on the Field or the Stage

Success is rarely the result of individual effort. When a team, whether in basketball or theatre, harmonizes and everyone knows their role, great things can be achieved together. On the field, every pass, every shot, every goal counts. On the stage, every gesture, every tone, every move works together to provide the audience with an unforgettable experience.

Through the combined effort and teamwork of all involved, a special magic is created that directly affects the audience. Anyone who has experienced the Basketball Löwen live in Erfurt's Riethsporthalle knows those moments when the hall shakes, and the victory of their team is within reach. At that moment, the over 1,000 spectators can no longer stay in their seats, eagerly anticipating the final whistle of the game together.

On the cathedral square, more than 2,000 people find a place in the stands of the DomStufen-Festspiele and are captivated and emotionally moved by the spectacular musical production of Anatevka. The artistic ensemble, consisting of prestigious musical performers, soloists, the opera and extra choir, the Erfurt Philharmonic Orchestra, and child extras, had about six weeks of rehearsal time to become a perfectly synchronized team. On Friday, the audience will be able to witness the artistic culmination of their efforts for the first time at the premiere of Anatevka.

At the end of September, the 2024/25 basketball season will begin for the teams in the 2. Basketball Bundesliga ProB. The new roster of the Basketball Löwen includes 17 players. Today, they took advantage of a unique opportunity at the Theater Erfurt to find their team dynamic outside of the sports hall. With the experiences of the freelance director Patrick Bialdyga (Head of Artistic Administration at the Theater Erfurt), a look behind the scenes of the theater, and the final rehearsal visit of Anatevka, the parallels and successes of good collaboration in culture and sports became clear once again. Marlies Reich, Head of Marketing and Communications, initiated the idea of bringing the local players together to learn from each other.

With many new experiences and exciting impressions, a strong sense of unity was created. You can experience the new team live at their first home game on September 29, 2024.
